DJI Phantom 3D Model
The copter pilot’s worst enemy are the weather conditions. Only the weather in the United Kingdom is as unreliable as the weather in Germany. Why not creating a cool looking animated intro for your YouTube videos during a rain period?
Using a 3d model instead of the real one has a lot of advantages -you can create all kind of camera movements, scenes and animations that can’t be done with real life objects, with less effort. You have full control over weather and lighting conditions, too. However, building such a realistic 3d model like this one would cost you many weeks of hard work.
This DJI Phantom 3D model contains all the awesome details you are looking for, it’s indeed as close to its original counterpart as it can get. Even the type and serial number declaration label on the Phantom’s bottom side is there. The only thing left are the screw threads -which aren’t visible anyway.
Because the original white, monotone color of the Phantom is somewhat boring, there are various different decals / wraps (designs) included with this 3d model. There are tribal flames, colorful designs, a carbon wrap and many more. Designs can be swapped within seconds – it’s just a matter of replacing a single texture (all are included).
The entire project was realized with Cinema4D R14 (no plugins used) and should be upwards compatible with any higher version. There are two models included (the DJI Phantom 1.1.1 drone and the original DJI transmitter), as well as all textures needed (including various designs, decals and wraps).
Note: This model uses some built-in textures of Cinema4D which may not be available with certain downgraded versions of C4D. In this case, those textures can easily be replaced by your own textures. Also note that this model is meant to be used for visual projects (video intros, stills etc.) and not for 3D printing. This means, not all details are 100% identical with the original Phantom.

Greetings,
My name is Austin Dow-Smith, I'm a student at the University of Maine. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your 3D model with me and in return I could share some 3D files with you. I've been playing around with the idea of creating a waterproof housing that you could apply to your drone but without a 3D model it's difficult to get accurate dimensions.
Thanks!
Austin
Unfortunately, this model wouldn't fit your requirements here because it was modeled "by eye" only and is not an exact replica of the original body. It was created to be used for 3d renderings and movie intros, not for 3d printing, therefore it does not reflect the exact measurements of the original Phantom.
