Gorgeous views and a truly epic panorama: on one of the last warm, sunny autumn days we’ve been heading to the Tegelberg mountain near the famous Neuschwanstein castle in Schwangau, Bavaria, to shoot some awesome drone footage.

Famous Neuschwanstein Castle from a spectacular bird’s-eye view. It took many tries and several months to take the shots -but it was really worth the effort.

The DJI Phantom almost got buried at sea while chasing a paddlesteamer on the lake. It was too far away to hear the lipo warner but luckily I managed to bring him down seconds before a crash.

Augsburg features some interesting spots. The Hochablass is one of them, a landmarked weir that spans the Lech river. It’s a nice place to hang out and fly on warm summer days.

The Sylvenstein bridge in the scenic bavarian mountains offers a nice motive for a FPV flight with the Phantom. You’ve probably seen this motive in some BMW car commercials.

The copter pilot’s worst enemy are the weather conditions. Only the weather in the United Kingdom is as unreliable as the weather in Germany. During a longer rain period, I decided to start a new project and create a high detail 3d model of my copter.

Photos from a hiking tour at the Rotwand mointain, Bavaria. It’s a gorgious place with beautiful scenic views. The Rotwand is within easy reach from Bavaria’s capital Munich by train, bus or car.

Eisenberg Castle is a medieval hilltop castle ruin, found only fifteen minutes by car from the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle. This remote, peaceful place is a huge contrast to Neuschwanstein and the crowded city of Hohenschwangau.

Flying over the Weitmannsee at Kissing, Bavaria. This quarry pond is quite shallow, compared to others, which results in intense emerald colors when seen from above. There are many small island, some of them just big enough to carry a single tree.
