Graveyard headstones, steles und memorials seem to live in the shadow. No one really takes account of them. Nevertheless most of them are very poetic. These photos were taken on several graveyards in and around Augsburg. I always liked those quiet and peaceful places which take me into a tranquilizing, almost meditative mood.
Technical background
I prefer to take my pictures using the Olympus Pen E-PL1 Micro Four Thirds DSLR, which offers a good balance between image quality and handiness. I use DXO Optics Pro to develop and fine-adjust the images while trying to keep them as natural as possible.

Ich freu mich, dass es weitere Menschen gibt die Friedhöfe aus einem positiven Blick betrachten. Besonders gut habe ich den alten Friedhof in Wien in Erinnerung.
